Now days, shoes companies are not taking any chance to come up exceptionally new and unique design, and overhauling the existing product is a trend. Adidas keeps on building momentum on boost technology, Nike’s tinkering with the new Pegasus/Structure/Lunarglide and Flyknits; yes! Asics is definitely an exception. And, latest addition to this ferocious trend is Saucony triumph ISO. It’s an 11th iteration of Saucony’s Triumph line.

Upper:  The ISOFIT construction of the upper wraps around the foot and learns how the foot moves with each strike. The seamless construction contributed to a distinct lack of friction, meaning no blisters. The Triumph ISO upper wraps the mid-foot in padded excellence, and does so with the support and comfort expected from it. Pressure feels secure and steady, with the embossed tongue top making short work of lacing pressure.

Outsole: The discernible improvement on the Triumph ISO is the PowerGrid.  Saucony’s ShoeLab worked to create the new “PWRGRID+”.  The claim is that it is 20% more cushioned than the Triumph 17.  The foot fits easily and comfortably as mid-foot counter has also been removed which allow foot to move more freely. Stability is extraordinary on the new Triumph, along with heel to toe transition. There’s abundant heel and forefoot flare, making for a robust base underfoot. The formed stabilizer over the sidelong crash cushion keeps the heel from inclining an excess of towards the outside. Heel to toe weight stacking is smooth, with the full ground contact outsole doing its bit.

Verdict:  The Triumph is a very good shoe with more than adequate cushioning, stability, and obviously with high price tag. Indeed, Saucony Triumph ISO is triumph for the latest triumph line by saucony.
